There is a sort of kindred spirit amoungst photographers that cultivates creativity and softens the soul. Knowing that they've walked in my shoes and understand the work behind the camera is a comfort. This was the case last weekend when I had the honor of photographing Kate and Nathan's stunning 5-year vow renewal. Kate is a talented photographer and seriously the most beautiful person!
Small, intimate weddings like this are such a breath of fresh air and allow me to really showcase the couple and the evening details. Kate and Nate's special day took place at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. With a fresh powdery layer of snow, the day was sunny and crisp.
Kate and Nate's love story began more than a decade ago. They first met at a YMCA summer camp, with Nate being a boat driver and Kate being a camp counselor. Time and life happened and they found themselves 8 years later and thousands of miles apart. Random happenstance brought the two back together and as they say, "the rest is history!" Five years and one awesome little kiddo later, these two have an incredibly bright future. I'm so thrilled to share my favorites from their big day!
