Styled shoots are fast becoming a favorite of mine! Having an opportunity to shoot without pressure allows completely free creativity in a safe environment. Whether it's a focus of new techniques, practice of lighting skills, or simply shooting in a different style, these types of events cultivate the passion of photography.
Recently, a fellow photographer put together a "Dust Off The Cobwebs" styled shoot. I jumped at the chance to do just that: dust off the cobwebs, after a long off-season. Evergreen venue, Meadows at Marshdale, was kind enough to allow us to use their property for the shoot. A small group of us met up there with stationery, flowers, and dress in hand to create a fake wedding.
As we set up the model couple's "first look" outside, the snow began to fall in blizzard-fashion. It was magical! Colorado mountain spring snowstorms are something to behold!
Without further ado, here are my favorites from my day in Evergreen!
