I first met Dana and Andy through a mutual friend and fellow photographer (thank you, Naomi!) when they were in search of a photographer for their July wedding. We instantly connected and I was so thrilled to hear about their plans for a good ol' country event.
They chose Platte River Fort east of Greeley to say their vows and it couldn't have been more perfect! As their day arrived, we were blessed with a mix of sun and clouds. As their ceremony space and the reception barn were being decorated, Dana was pampered with hair and makeup surrounded by her besties. Andy arrived with his guys and placed a few rounds of corn holes.
Andy was all smiles as Dana walked down the aisle. These two tied a three-cord braid during their ceremony, representing the two of them and Dana's daughter as one family. Andy even presented Syndney with a special ring during the ceremony. It was tear-jerking!
As they were announced as husband and wife, Andy dipped Dana for a beautiful first kiss.
As we took the happy couple down to the river for portraits, we stopped in the middle of the venue's working Texas longhorn cattle herd for a few photos! The cows were very curious so we escaped to the river for some quiet time and sunset. What a magical time!
Congratulations Dana and Andy! Your wedding was truly extraordinary and it was a day that we will never forget. Sending you both well wishes as you start your married life together!
