If you hire me, there's a pretty good chance I'll cry at your wedding. If you hire me for your intimate mountain elopement, there's 100% chance I'll cry. It's true; when I get to witness and photograph two people completely smitten with each other, I will be fighting back tears during your vows, your pronouncement as husband and wife, your first kiss, and when you two walk back down the aisle during one of the happiest moment of your lives.
Ashley and Calvin might be one of my favorite couples this season. Their passion and relationship is something special.
These two decided to have a small mountain elopement surrounded by a few of their closest family and friends. When a family friend offered their Estes Park property for the celebration, Ashley and Calvin jumped on the chance to exchange vows on a mountaintop.
Their day began like any other Colorado late summer day: warm and sunny. I arrived at a small motel in Estes Park to begin their getting ready photos and was instantly blessed with beautiful light and nature to document Ashley's dress and details. When everything was all in place and perfect, we departed for the property. I just knew I was in for a treat with these two, and I was not disappointed! Every little detail was thought through and executed beautifully. From the flowers and ceremony decor to Ashley's amazing dress and veil, their passion for celebration was breath-taking.
Calvin was full of emotion as Ashley and her dad walked down the aisle. Tears were shed as they read their vows to each other, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house! They were announced as Mr. and Mrs. and walked directly to their parents for hugs and tears.
After some creative mountain portraits, the newlyweds celebrated the evening away at the Bristlecone Inn.
