"If you had told me almost three years that I'd be standing on a hippie goat farm in Longmont, stating our vows to each other.... I probably would have believed you." -Andrew
I love farm weddings. The immense love and thought poured into the details, the intimate setting, and laid back atmosphere make for a beautiful way to begin a marriage. Oh, and knowing that the couple wants photos with a resident pigs doesn't hurt either!
Jackie and Andrew met through some friends, on a cold January night in Denver. They were looking for a bar to watch the Red Wings vs. LA Kings hockey game, and after some dry banter back and forth together, Jackie said to Andrew "You better be careful, I'm a Cancer, so I'm sensitive!" He quickly responded with "well, I'm a July 5th Cancer!". Jackie's jaw dropped as she realized they share the same birthday (same year, too!). They spent a couple of years traveling together and singing at the top of their lungs during roadtrips, trying new food, and exploring new and local places.
On a Halloween morning, Andrew brought Jackie to his old apartment where they had spent much of their early dating time together, pulled out a ring and proposed to her.
These two planned a laid-back farm wedding at Frog Belly Farm. The weather was spectacular, guests played lawn games, and the two spent the evening smiling and celebrating. Thank you Jackie and Andrew for inviting me to capture your big day. So much fun!
