There is nothing quite like fall in Colorado. Some seasons, the change is slow and artful. Other times, it's fast and jolting. This year, fall happened suddenly and without warning. And the high elevations experienced snow in September, crazy!
I met Kat and Nathaniel through mutual friends and have gotten to know them little by little over the past couple of years at parties and events. When they announced they were engaged, of course I put in a shameless plug to book with me, and they did! I'm so thrilled to photograph their Tapestry House wedding next month (Brian and I got married there wayyyyy back in 2009!).
We scheduled in their engagement session for the first day of October, crossing fingers for a beautiful, typical fall day. Haha, Mother Nature had other ideas. The day was a mix of drizzle, clouds, and sun. And by the time we met at Lily Lake for their photos, a small blizzard had moved in leaving us with a flurry of snowflakes!
After enjoying (and shivering) some snow, we drove back into Estes and warmed up with drinks at Kind Coffee. What a fun session and great couple! Kat and Nathaniel are just perfect for each other, giggling and sharing inside jokes the entire time. A photographer's dream!
Thanks you two! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
