Brian and I met Kat and Nathaniel through mutual friends a couple years ago. This past spring, I found out they were engaged and planning a wedding at the beautiful Tapestry House in Fort Collins and were looking for a photographer! Of course, I put in my shameless plug and was thrilled when they decided to book me to photograph their big day!
We met at Lily Lake on October 1 for engagement photos and were bombarded with a rain-turned-sleet-turned-snow white out storm! It was magical and fun and these two took it in stride. They qualify as ridiculously cute. Giggles, nose nuzzles, butterfly kisses. A photographer's dream haha!
Their wedding arrived quickly and blustery, in true Colorado fashion. We had an early cold snap and a lot of wind this fall that removed the remaining leaves from the trees, but the grounds of Tapestry House are so lush and beautiful! Some of the vines and fall color remained, and the dreamy golden fall light made for beautiful portraits.
When it came time for their First Look, Kat was all smiles and anxious to see her groom. As Nathaniel turned around to see his bride, he broke into the biggest grin EVER. So much anticipation, emotion, and excitement! And as the doors opened for Kat and her dad to walk down the aisle, Nathaniel fought back tears.
They celebrated the evening away with friends and family. And what a dance party! Many of our own friends were there as guests, so we had a blast seeing them and dancing our booties off too!
I'm so honored to have been a part of their wedding. Without further ado, here are a few of my favorites from their day! Cheers!
