Sara and Steven first met in elementary school and spent their entire years in school together, but didn't go on their first date until after graduation. After that wonderful day and date to Hu Hot Mongolian Grill, these two were inseparable. When it came time to take the next step, Steven surprised Sara with a trip to Cancun and asked her to marry him while in paradise.
These two are gracious and have a quiet elegance about them. They are country to the core (cows and all!) but sure know how to clean up well. They chose Platte River Fort as the backdrop for their wedding with its beautiful scenic views, rustic vibe, and easy location. Oh, and maybe the Longhorns.
We met last fall for engagement photos at the Fort and ended the session at Steven's family's farm in the middle of a herd of horses and the most beautiful sunset everrrrrr... if you missed those photos, catch up here!
Their wedding day arrived in true Colorado summer fashion: hot. When I arrived, Sara was deep in hair and makeup prep, while Steven was chilling with his guys. There was a relaxed and joyful vibe with everyone, and soon it was time for Sara to head out for their wedding ceremony! As her dad escorted her down the aisle, Steven's eyes welled up with tears. I fought back my own tears as these two shared vows and a first kiss.
After family photos and some fun group photos with their wedding party, we hopped in a Gator and headed down to the river for portraits. This is my favorite part of every wedding. Quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of their wedding day, it's a perfect way to catch a breather and soak in the emotions and memories!
It was the perfect day for a great couple. I'm so honored to have been a small part of creating memories for these two!
