When Ginny and Jeff reached out about doing portraits in Rocky Mountain National Park following their elopement ceremony in Denver, I might have squeaked a little inside! They had a vision for black-tie formal portraits with a snowy mountain backdrop. We began throwing around location ideas and settled on taking a short hike to a beautiful lake for the perfect scenery.
Their date arrived in sunny January fashion and we were blessed with the most beautiful weather and light. Winter in Colorado can be a bit of a coin toss, with most of the season being sunny and bright, but the chance of winter storm conditions keeps us on our toes as photographers!
We chased every inch of light after a quick hike back to the car. Ginny and Jeff departed to enjoy a night at the Brown Palace in celebration of their nuptials. Congrats, you two!
