I first met Stacy and Rich and little Brynn nearly four years ago when they booked a family session with me in Rocky Mountain National Park. We instantly connected and I knew this sweet family would be lifelong clients and friends.
Two years later, they made a long drive to meet me in Aspen for photos at Maroon Bells. It was a fabulous evening in the most beautiful area! This year is Stacy and Rich's 20th wedding anniversary, and Stacy wanted to surprise Rich with a vow renewal in the mountains, hidden as a family session. Well, the surprise didn't last long as Stacy got super excited and started to make bigger plans for their special day.
These two met in first grade, and spent their high school years as best friends. As freshman in college, they shared their first date. When it came time to get married, they donned their favorite spring attire and eloped. Now twenty years later, they decided to celebrate their anniversary by renewing vows and having the wedding they never had.
We planned a perfect afternoon ceremony for 12 of their closest friends at 11,200 ft at Julia's Deck with photos at Shrine Pass. The floating clouds and warm temps made for a beautiful day. Afterwards, we met at the Four Seasons resort in Vail for a private dinner and cake cutting.
