Victoria & Bradley's Colorado Fall Wedding in the Mountains - Steamboat Springs Wedding Photographer

Victoria and Brad met while working in Nashville back in 2012. They started off as friends but eventually Victoria agreed to go on a date with Brad. Their first date was happy hour and a movie. They quickly fell in love with adventuring together and spent their summers camping and winters skiing.

Fast forward a few years. On Gaper Day, the last ski day of the season, they were enjoying the slopes at Purgatory Resort near Durango. Brad tricked Victoria into thinking he had injured his knee that allowed him to drop down to a knee. He said, "I know Gaper Day marks the day last of ski season, but it's now the beginning of the rest of our lives together". She said YES! It was the perfect proposal doing the activity they love most with the people they love most.

These two decided to have a big fall wedding in Colorado. They were actually married earlier this spring during a small church ceremony in Texas with family who couldn't attend the Colorado wedding. They both love fall and wanted to showcase Colorado's colorful season in the mountains near Steamboat. They chose Midnight Ranch for it's simple beauty and crossed their fingers for prime fall color!

And prime fall color, they got! September 24 arrived sunny and warm, with a slight breeze. As we drove north from Steamboat Springs, into the forested aspen groves, I could feel myself getting giddy! I LOVE fall and the colors this year have made my heart sing.

I met Brad riding a dirt bike around the ranch and Victoria enjoying bubbly with her closest friends and family. They were truly happy to be around their tribe. After sharing their First Look in a stunning grove of aspens, we had fun with photos of the wedding party and family. Soon, it was time to load up and head over to the ceremony site across the lake.

They renewed their vows and reaffirmed their marriage to a spectacular view of Hahn's Peak. After a few portraits, they were introduced into the reception and party started!

I simply adore this couple's simple, yet unique style. The live band (Band Kamp), Victoria's rockin' boots and dress change, their love of hats and sunglasses, and all things fun made for a perfect celebration.

When I asked them what their favorite wedding memory is, they replied "Brad's favorite memory of the wedding was exchanging the vows we each wrote in front of friends and family. Victoria's favorite memory was the venue that we rented for three full days. Having the venue for 3 days allowed us to make so many memories with friends and family beyond those of just the wedding ceremony and reception."

Congratulations, Victoria and Brad! What a perfect day!

The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Do what YOU want. Not what your friends or family expect you to do. It's your day and if you want an outdoor wedding in January - go for it! If you want a camping wedding in the national forest - go for it! If you want a fancy reception with crystal glassware - do it! Think about what is unique to you two and find a way to incorporate it in your big day!"
