My husband and I had the absolute best experience working with Sarah, both for our engagement shoot in September 2023 and our wedding in September 2024. I was super nervous before our engagement shoot because I had never had photos taken professionally before, but Sarah set us both right at ease and captured all our love and joy in a way that felt natural and true to us.

HOW FAR AHEAD SHOULD WE BOOK WITH YOU?I typically book on average 6-9 months in advance. The best course of action is to inquire about your date as soon as you know it as the most popular summer and fall dates book out very early!

CAN WE SEE A FULL WEDDING GALLERY?Yes! Just send me a quick message for more information and I will send you 2-3 FULL real wedding galleries from real couples.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY WEDDING PHOTOS?Your online gallery of wedding photos is delivered to you via email 4 weeks after the wedding day. Every photo is processed to endure a beautiful final product. In the meantime, I will post a sneak peek preview the day after your wedding so that you can bask in the glow of your big day!

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?Portrait sessions include an allotted number of finished photos (typically 50), while weddings include approximately 75-100 photos per hour of coverage. The number will vary depending on how long the event was photographed and what elements were included - for example, the more details and decor present, the more photos will be taken, a large wedding party will result in more photos, etc.

WILL I RECEIVE ALL THE RIGHTS TO MY PHOTOS?You always receive full personal rights to all your images. That means you can print, share on social media, and design your own album if you wish. You have full use of your photos! I will retain the copyright which means I can still claim I took the photo.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE TRICKY LIGHTING SITUATIONS?I understand how important it is for you to have stunning images, no matter the lighting conditions! I have extensive experience working in low-light conditions, whether it's during evening ceremonies, receptions, or indoor venues with minimal lighting. Over the years, I've mastered the art of using natural and artificial light sources to capture beautiful, sharp, and well-exposed images in challenging environments. I’m confident that I can deliver the results you want. Low light doesn’t intimidate me — it’s an opportunity to create dramatic, intimate images that tell your story in a unique way.

SHOULD WE DO A "FIRST LOOK"?"This decision is a personal one! There is a lot of pressure on the iconic moment of the groom seeing the bride walking down the aisle. Removing the added stress of that event by creating a special, private event is a great option! You are able to react naturally instead of “acting” one way or another in front of the crowd. You have a few minutes alone to enjoy each other and relax, while I tastefully capture those intimate moments. Another benefit includes being able to take formal photos before the ceremony, allowing more relaxed time after the ceremony. Many couples choose to add this tradition, for a positive result to their wedding day!

DO YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LOCATIONS?Yes! I love brainstorming ideas with couples to create a session that reflects their style and personality. We’ll chat about your ideas for the shoot; clothing and possible locations. If you have an idea or images you love, send them to me! Your inspirations will help inspire me.

WHEN DO I PAY AND WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?For portrait sessions, a 50% retainer is due to book your session, with remaining balance due at or before the session. Payments can be made by debit or credit card.

WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR WEDDING TIMELINE CHANGES?There are a lot of moving parts during a wedding! Having a timeline framework helps to guide the day, but many times unforeseen events can cause delays. I always remain flexible and work to use the time we have efficiently so that you can enjoy the day!

HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH BAD WEATHER?I make the best of it! I've shot weddings in ALL POSSIBLE weather conditions: snow, hail, wind, full sun and ALL seasons! If it looks like rain, we'll grab cute umbrellas and make magical images! Or if it's too cold, I'll find a beautiful, unique indoor location for photos. I can easily step into any location with any conditions and you can rest easy, knowing you'll have incredible photos!
